For the modern person, coffee is a popular morning and afternoon energy boost.

While coffee does have many health benefits, the idea of coffee in the morning has become a routine and habit. Sometimes our behaviors are nonsensical and purely a coincidence.  In the health profession, your opinions can change rapidly based on new studies. So be careful not to become exhausted by constantly changing your beliefs about food and training techniques.

After reading enough research, I concluded that adding coffee to my life would be beneficial. Adding coffee to my morning routine has helped me stay focused and energized throughout the day. It’s also prompted me to think more critically about my behavior, which may have led me towards healthier choices overall.

Some professionals in the health field believe that coffee is dangerous, while others maintain that there is more evidence to support its positive effects. However, as of now, the bulk of the research suggests that coffee consumption can be considered healthy.

Prevents Diabetes

People who drink four or more cups of coffee per day are less likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who do not drink coffee. While you might start shaking at the thought of four cups, the amount of caffeine is still much less than one bottle of 5-Hour Energy.

Coffee is a drink that has been credited with many benefits, such as decreasing your risk of type 2 diabetes. A study by Chinese researchers found that drinking one cup of coffee reduces your risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 7 percent.

Fights Cancer

Coffee is a rich source of antioxidants, including caffeic and chlorogenic acids. These substances help protect the cells in your body from damage caused by stress.

The study found that coffee drinkers are 9 percent less likely to suffer from basal cell carcinoma—the most common type of skin cancer. However, the benefits were seen only in people who consumed three or more coffee daily.

A study published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers, and Prevention found that women who drank four or more cups of coffee daily had a 30 percent lower risk of cancer. The antioxidant properties were likely responsible for this decrease in cancer risk. Still, coffee also appears to improve enzymes in your liver that help prevents cancer cells from growing and multiplying.

Improves Happiness

If you’re having trouble waking up in the morning, try drinking coffee. Coffee has been shown to release dopamine, which is known as the “feel good” neurotransmitter.

When you drink your first cup of French roast coffee, it produces a pleasant smell and intense dopamine feelings that are similar to those produced by amphetamines and ecstasy. This helps fight depression and keep you smiling.

Boosts Strength and Endurance

Caffeine is the most popular supplement used by Olympians. Nearly 75% take it before the competition to improve their performance.

Studies have repeatedly found that coffee improves endurance and fights fatigue before a training session. However, a recent study also determined that pre-workout coffee cocktails can help just as much in the gym. The study found that when study participants had a caffeinated drink before a workout, they could perform more reps, experience less fatigue, and feel ready to return to the gym sooner.

After a workout, coffee drinkers were found to have more glycogen in their system than those who didn’t drink coffee. This could be because the caffeine helps the body break down and use food as energy. A moderate amount of caffeine can help you push harder, while a little later allows you to recover more quickly.
